Terms of Service

Welcome to Townsound ("App"), operated by SVT Ventures, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App. By using Townsound, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Townsound is a music discovery platform that curates and streams music from artists who are currently touring or performing in selected cities. Use of the App is intended for personal, non-commercial purposes only and subject to compliance with these Terms.

2. Apple Music Integration

Townsound integrates with Apple Music via MusicKit to stream music. You must have an active Apple Music subscription to access streaming functionality.

  • Townsound does not access your Apple ID, credentials, or personal listening history.
  • All playback and subscription-related services are governed by Apple's terms of service and privacy policy.

3. User Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of data are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the App, you consent to the practices outlined in the Privacy Policy.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality in the App—including design, code, text, playlists, and branding—are the intellectual property of SVT Ventures, LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.
  • Apple Music content streamed within the App is subject to Apple's licensing terms and must not be extracted or reused outside of the App.

5. Third-Party Services

Townsound may include integrations or links to third-party services such as:

  • Apple Music (MusicKit)
  • Supabase (data hosting)

We are not responsible for the content, terms, or policies of these third-party services. Use of third-party features is at your own risk.

6. Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVT Ventures, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately.

8. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are made, we will update the "Effective Date" above and notify users through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
